Wicked weather is finally over for now!

WOW!!!!!! What else can i say??!! Joplin MO got hit hard by a twister on sunday....Joplin is like 30 minutes from us!1 it was an EF5 and alot of people are homeless missing and over 100 have been killed. :(.Monday through Wednesday we had tornado warnings and VERY severe weather watches and warnings. The weather has finally calmed down and its sunny again...the Oklahoma that i love so much!
 The garden is doing really well,except for a few mater plants that got some hail damage but i think they will get new leaves on them. No pussoms here lately so i'm thinking we got them all either that or they just stopped commin around for fear of dying.
Floor is done in kitchen...just got to save money so i can buy linoleum for it need to redo the floor in the living room and decide on a carpet for that...need to decide on paint for the walls in the kitchen and living room also...remodlein is a pain but it will look nice once we get it all done.
Today is the last day of scool and then its summer vacation.Dally is goin to go campin this weekend with a bunch of her friends..so she'll have a good start to her vacation.
Dallas passed her CNA test with a 90! we are SO proud of her!!!  Next year he is gonna take pre LPN then go for her RN after she graduates...wow...next year she will be a senior!!!Time sure does fly!!!
Speaking of time i have to get my rear end in gear lots to do.....y'all have a wonderful day!!! 

possums!!

Well so far hubby and i have killed 3 and our wolfdog,Mieko has killed 3! They just keep comming!!  i hate killing but i dont want them getting my chickens either.
Floor in the kitchen is almost done...have a lil bit yet to do this weekend then all the plywood will be down,then we have to save $4 to get the linoleum for it. Can't decide on a color to paint the walls so i will be lookin at paint samples...gonna have a rooster border to go along with all my rooster dec'or also gonna put in another window facing the backyard,as we think the kitchen is a bit dark and i like a nice bright kitchen.

Garden is growing very nicely! can't wait to get fresh veggies,gonna be busy canning too! Y'all have a wonderful day!!

Busy Busy time of the year!!

Well got the garden planted last Saturday,consisting of summer squash,cukes,maters,beans,peas,beets,radishs,lettuce,spinach,corn,zuchhini,carrots,i am sure i an missing a few things lol

Anyways we have quite a few plants already comming up.
Going to be busy canning this summer as i plan on going to the local farmers market and getting fresh fruit and more veggies.
Baby chickies are doing well,have been getting 12+ eggs from the big girls,which is real good because i have been selling them like crazy!!
all thogether when the babies grow up i will have 27 layers and 1 roo!
Craziness i tell ya!1 and i still want more chickens...they are addicting....kinda like tater chips ya cant have just one. Would LOVE  to get some silkie hens!! But maybe some day.
As for the quest for a German Shepherd puppy thats not to much $4 yea ok....probably not gonna happen..maybe i can find one someone is giving away..even if its half shepherd i dont care just as long as it looks like one.

Busy weekend

Well i really got a TON of crocheting done over the weekend!! Was actually surprised at how much. Will post pics soon as i don't have my camera right now,DD borrowed it for a few days but i should be getting it back today. Waiting for hubby to get his Christmas bonus so i can finish up Christmas shopping. Was and still is very cold here this morning its 17 out right now.We are supposed to be getting snow tonight and tomorrow!! i was like WHAT??!! LOL Anyways it wont stick or last to long here as the days warm up pretty good.
As for the crocheting over the weekend i have completed,a poncho,matching hat,two pot holders,another hat,started another potholder set,have 1 yet to finish oh and a hotpad! lol

WOW!!!!

Dont know where to begin!!!! Just been really really busy here as of lately. well Thanksgiving had come and gone and we had a wonderful holiday. Tomorrow will be December 1st and the Christmas season,my favorite holiday!!
Have been a crocheting fool here as of lately will post pics today..have a new puppy.a blue heeler named Mosin! he's a sweetie..Hubby got a deer with his bow...finally!! big spike we were all happy to have fresh venison in the freezer and jerky too!

wow!

well summer is finally drawing to an end! i am sad to see it go but not sad to see the 110+ temps go! i have been knitting quite a bit lately and crocheting as well. Have a few orders to fill,i am hopeing to sell quite a bit of stuff as i want to buy hubby a new welder and helmet for Christmas,so all the money i make from what i sell will go towards that! he showed me what ones he wanted and all together it will be about 500.00,so i had better get to selling!! LOL i have some pictures to post of my completed items. if you see anything you want let me know...i will do custom orders. thanks!

we bought a house!!!

Sorry i havent posted in like forever,but we bought a house and with all the packing and unpacking and getting settled in i havent had the time!!! We are settling in nicely but still have quite a bit of work to do on the house and the yard...floors need to be fixed and then we can paint and decorate to our tastes. which i cant wait for!! Kitchen will be roosters and chickens bathroom will be dolphins/fish/ocean themed....master bedroom will be a country theme with deer wolves etc...living room im still undecided on yet but will let yas know!

WIPS!!!

Seems like i have a TON of WIPS! when i see a pattern i like i keep it and add to the pile so my goal for next month is to finish most if not all of my WIPs......not sure how thats gonna go!!! LOL

well it's the new year! My to do list is HUGE and i keep on adding more projects to it!! LOL i can't really help it though,as i see a pattern and think yea, thats nice i'll make that and it goes on the list!! Today is Christmas eve!

So exciting!! Even with teens Christmas is still my favorite holiday! We have a storm comming today and tomorrow of snow so hopefully our Christmas morning will be white!!
Well got Micheles baby blanket finished. she wanted something small and simple so i did the never ending granny square in blue and white and then added a border to it. y'all have a WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS!!

Christmas is a week away....Hubby finally got his Christmas bonus today so i will be finishing up shopping this weekend!!!! YAY!!
finished a horse head lap ghan just have to add border and weave in the ends,will post pics when done,as it has to ship out tomorrow to California for Christmas. Dont know what ill be making next...digging through patterns today to start another project!! well have a good one

Slippers are all finished finally!! didnt take pics of them all so i will on Christmas....now onto hats!!! i have a "to do" list for next year that just keeps on growing!! LOL Oh well maybe if i start the day after Christmas i will have everything done that i want to make! LOL yea right...because i will keep adding to it!

been busy

so sorry i havent posted in a couple of days but i have been busy making slippers1
So far i have sons done 2dds done and sons gfs are done. i wan t to make at least 1 more pair for hubby and dd wants a pair for her bf also!
found this really really cite elf stocking pattern that im working on...thinking i am going to make them then put names on them and give them as gifts to DS and his GF for decoration for their tree as they have moved into their own house and this will be their first Christmas there. heres the link for them...

Slippers!!

Well i have 1 done of sons Gfs now my daughter wants a pair and so does her BF!! They must think i'm a super knitter or something!!
Trees up and presents are under it...not all yet as i still have quite a bit of shopping to do plus i have to buy all the goodies for Christmas dinner!
i LOVE to cook and make my family happy so its all good. well i really need to get my rear in gear today as we have alot going on. No rest for the wicked!! LOL
